    Additional Information:
O2 OPTIX breathable contact lenses transmit up to five times more oxygen versus traditional soft contact lenses - for whiter, healthy-looking eyes, no matter how long you wear your lenses each day. O2 OPTIX contacts are so breathable, you can nap in them or even sleep in them for up to six nights extended wear. Your eyes need oxygen to stay healthy and comfortable. But soft contact lenses create a barrier to the flow of oxygen between your eyes and the air around them.

Very comfortable but high rate of
I've been wearing the O2-Optix contacts for about 3 years now, and overall I'm pretty happy with them. They're super comfortable. I'm in the habit of taking them out everynight I occasionally wear them overnight or a couple of days straight but usually find that they last a bit longer when I clean more often. I would say that my vision is a little less sharp in these than in my old contacts. I give them four stars because I always seem to have a dud lens at least every 2 boxes. Usually I get one that will just not sit right or be comfortable no matter what I do. Then I toss it and pop a new one in and it's all fine. I've even written to Ciba asking them to do better QC but got nothing but a form letter back....a little disappointed. Perhaps it's just my particular prescription though.

Great Lenses
I switched to these after my old ones were about to be discontinued. Terrific! It is so convenient to actually be able to keep them in non-stop for a full week. The morning I woke up after taking them out for the first time after a week I was actually confused why everything was blurry. I realized these contacts were almost like having good vision in that aspect. Occasionally there is some blurriness but nothing too extreme (I usually fix that by rubbing my eyes). I've had bad allergies this summer which cause my eyes to water and be itchy, but the contacts seem fine. I'm really glad I switched.

Much prefer O2Optix over Oasys lenses.
I have been a contact lens wearer for about 25 years. Even though I have worn 2-week disposable contacts for about the last 10 years, I still remove and clean them every night due to minor problems with eye allergies. After being diagnosed with blood vessels creaping into my pupil area several years ago, my eye doctor told me that I needed more oxygen to my eyes. At that time the only option was to let my eyes breathe more by wearing my glasses instead of contacts one day per week. A couple years ago, my eye doctor recommended that I try Oaysis lenses because they allowed my oxygen to my eyes and that if they worked out, I could go back to wearing my contacts 7 days a week. I was anxious to try a sample pair. Immediately I notice some minor changes in minor changes in my vision... things seemed brighter but it wasn't anything annoying. They also felt quite comfortable. After a few days though they started to become more uncomfortable. By the end of the two week trial, I couldn't stand them anymore and felt so relieved to get my original contacts back in my eyes. A couple months ago, my eye doctor suggested that I try O2Optix from Ciba to help get more oxygen to my eyes. I asked him how they were different than the Oasys contacts that I had unsuccessfully tried in the past. He said that although they use the same high-oxygen permeable silicone compound, they have a different surface coating that may suit my eyes better. According to Ciba, this coating is supposed to reduce protein and lipid buildup on the lenses. I tried the trial sample and found that they were very comfortable throughout the duration of my wear period. I actually wore them for a full month before I decided that they were right for me and ordered a 6-month supply. I still have a couple of pair of my original contact lenses that I need to use up before making the permanent switch to the O2Optics. I can hardly wait to get back to wearing contacts 7-days a week again!

Great contacts
I am a new contacts lens wearer, and I recently got my contacts about two weeks ago, and these are the ones I have. Since these are the only ones I've tried, I think they are great. It doesn't even feel like something is in my eye. My vision does blur sometimes but I run a lot and play soccer so it may be because they dry out. But I've been wearing this pair for a week now and I can still see crystal clear. (If you could only see out of them for two days then you must have not been taking good care of them) But I think these are great.
