Proclear multifocal

Proclear multifocal lenses focus light from both near and far distances to the back of the eye, creating the clearest possible image. This unique system uses two different, yet complementary, lenses that work together to provide clear vision near, far, and in between.

The two-lens system means that your eyecare professional will have specified one eye as "Dominant" on your contact lens prescription. This is typically indicated by a "D" whereas the non-dominant eye is marked with an "N". Please selected the proper "Add" power for each eye indicating which eye is dominant for your prescription.

Proclear multifocal is the only contact lens designed to address two common conditions experienced by those with aging eyes: presbyopia and eye dryness.

Not the great experience I was hoping for
I have been wearing toric contacts for about 25 years now. I never expected difficulty when going to multifocal torics. I can see great far, and near, but doing computer work at my desk is nearly impossible. Cooper Vision is the only company making a multifocal toric in my strength right now. For that, I am grateful, but we are sadly not a match. I have gone back to my old contacts, and I love my progressive lens eyeglasses.

Tear, chip, rip easily
I've been through 6 lenses in just over a month and a half because they tear and chip in my eye. I wear only one lense so I'm sensitive to differences in my eyes. Wind, cold, can cause the lense to change somehow. The lense gets uncomfortable, even blurry, and then I can feel it rip. I also don't have the distance vision I had before. :( Way too expensive to go through so quickly.

Proclear Multifocal lens
I've worn contacts for over 45 years and I was afraid I'd have to return to wearing glasses. I had to wear a pair of reading glasses over my contacts to see the computer or read a paper, then my optician tried me on Proclear Multifocals. I love them!! Wish they came in packs of one or two since they are expensive for me but i won't quit wearing them.

Very comfortable, but a visual compromise on some levels
The comfort is pretty phenomenal for dry eyes. I can wear them up to 16 hrs comfortably. The distance vision is fair to good, intermediate good and reading good. A nice change over slapping reading glasses over regular contacts, but still not perfect; however, I don't feel other lens options would allow this level of comfort. I did have her increase the distance power a bit to see clearly at a distance, and it helped, but of course my reading suffered. Compromise is the name of the game in multifocal contacts. I give them a C+ in vision, A- in comfort.

Finally I can wear contacts!
I've tried all the multifocals/bifocals and I either couldn't see, or felt like I had sand in my eyes. These Proclears were a winner from the first hour I had them in. I love them! I only rated them 4 on vision because of course, they won't be as clear as wearing bifocals, but I'll gladly take it! Even at a 4 rating, still great vision.
