The attendant explained that 38 has a slightly smaller diameter but higher water content. Strangely, the 38 was kinda blurry for me. The 38's matches that of my glasses, which I can't read text more than 15m away. My question is why does the 55 provide a sharper vision, is it over-rated? I have been wearing the Bio 55 lens for two weeks now and cannot even tell that it is in my eye. No problems and great vision, what more can I ask for! I've worn 2 other different types of contact lenses (Acuvue, Acuvue 2) before my new and more competent optometrist switched me to Biomedics and I can't complain. My chronic dry eye problems have significantly gotten better. SIDE NOTE: Consider checking out the Purilens Complete Care System to clean your contacts. It's freaking awesome! Very, VERY soon after I started using that, along with my comfy Biomedics, my eyes no longer became bloodshot around 7pm.
